An amazing trip to Visakhapatnam also known as Vizag, in Andhra Pradesh. The most memorable and entertaining moment was to witness the Dhimsa dance by Porja caste tribal women here. During an interesting visit to Araku Valley and Borra Caves, it was an amazing experience to see this beautiful dance by the tribal women. The formation and presentation of these tribal women are really so beautiful. A group of 15 to 20 women form a chain and start tapping their feet in a circle-like shape in a rhythmic way. Tribal women dance to the beat of the Dappu Tudumu, Mori, and Kiridi. Their dance steps are known as Dhimsa, which has its own 12 different & beautiful variations. This is the traditional form of entertainment in India, that still exists today. One can easily forget the Bollywood entertainment in front of these real tribals. While tribal men are out of the circle and they play these instruments passionately in their own rhythm. Anyone who experiences this will surely feel proud of our Indian culture and traditional values and art forms. https://www.indiacafe24.com
